Many thanks to those of you who attended our assessment evening. I hope you found the evening informative and helpful. All schools are having to address ‘assessing pupils without levels’ (AWOL) and having to do this with not a great deal of guidance from the DfE. The evening generated a lot of good and relevant questions from you which I hope we were able to give you answers to. Please remember that at the moment we are coming to terms with this change to assessment ourselves and trying to embed a new system across the school.
We are using Learning Tracks as our assessment system and intend to introduce booklets for Reading, Writing and Maths to each child after half-term.
We also took the opportunity to give you a flavour of the curriculum expectations there are for the children across each year group. I am sure you will agree there is some very challenging learning for our children. As a school we rise to this challenge and look to provide the best learning experiences possible.
It would be a great help if you were to add comments to this post, on how you found the evening. Your feedback is very important to us and helps us to identify if we are providing the level of information that you need.
