School’s Cross Country at Hughenden Park
Last Saturday a team from Years 5 and 6 took part in the annual School’s Cross Country Competition. The team arrived early to walk the course with some willing parents (and their dogs!) The course is set in Hughenden park so has some rather steep hills to challenge even the most experienced runners!
The first race was Year 5 girls and well done to Natalie for racing this as our only contestant in this category. Next, was the Year 6 boys. Our team of boys stuck together and their bright yellow t shirts helped us spot them as they raced to the finish. A particular special well done to Lewis who came in fourth, the highest finish position yet for Manor Farm. Year 5 boys then raced followed by the Year6 girls who all ran well.
It was lovely to see the team all encouraging and supporting each other and having such a positive attitude, despite some very wet weather. Well done to you all. A great example of NED!
