U10 District Cup Final

Match report

We played our final against Danesfield School at Burford School near Marlow. The starting line up was Callum J (goalkeeper), Matthew and Callum G (defence), Sam, Toby and Josh (midfielders) and Luke (forward). Substituitions were Louis, Frankie and Freddie.

Manor Farm won the kick off and the ref blew the whistle.

We started passing like FC Barcelona! After about 4 minutes Luke assisted Josh to run onto the ball and then he banged it top bins….1-0 to Manor Farm!

Danesfield weren’t getting much possession but when they did they used the ball well and made us work hard to get it back. Toby, Matthew and Callum G were great in defence!

Unluckily, Luke missed a goal but Josh was there on the rebound and scored again….2-0!

Mr Cook substituted Matthew for Louis.

Halfway through, Toby ran through and whipped a ball into Josh. Josh ran onto it and powered it into the far corner…….3-0!

Half time and Mr Cook told us to keep doing what we were doing. Callum J came off and Freddie went on.

When Danesfield kicked off the second half they ran straight through our defence and scored to make it 3-1.

Luke had a good shot on goal but it just skimmed the post.

Sam was doing some good passing and he put in some great tackles to keep Danesfield at bay.

As the game was coming to an end, Toby took a corner, Josh headed it, it hit a Danesfield player, came back out and Josh got it on the rebound to score again….4-1!!!

Frankie came on for Luke and got stuck in for the final minutes. Then the ref blew the final whistle……Manor Farm won the U10s High Wycombe and District Cup final!
