The final hoorah started like all mornings with everyone making the most of a superb full breakfast, some slightly sleepy heads but still excitable chatter and laughter.
A quick strip of the beds and some packing, then off to the final activity; crates and zip for some and the rest on raft building.
Rafts of all shapes and sizes were created with knots, of varying success, were launched into the pirate infested waters where the teams competed to rescue damsels in distress and capture flags on a manner of obstacles.
The morning wouldn’t be complete without a group jump in (with the instructors being dunked too!)
The lucky few who thought they had a dry activity whizzing down the zip wires and hoisting each other up wobbling towers of the crates were treated to a power rain shower just to help them feel included.
Hot showers and lunch before a public lost property clothes auction took us up until the arrival of the coach. A sad farewell gave way to some quiet time for the children to rest and reflect on an amazing week made special by staff, instructors and the incredible teams at the centre.
