Maths

 

Title – Can I divide?

We have been practising how to divide using the long division method. Please follow the instructions given on your sheet, and work in your books.

 

Times Tables

 

Make sure you are also learning your times tables every day. We will be doing Cracking Times Tables on Monday! Please keep practising and improving on your scores.

 

Reading

 

As usual, we expect you to record at least 4 pieces of reading in your Home School Book. We will be collecting Home School Books in on Monday. Please make sure you get an adult to sign your book. Remember you could be reader of the week!

 

Reminder

 

Please send in your photos, either hard copy or via email (admin@manorfarm.bucks.sch.uk), of your child sharing a book with others, so that we can add it to our World Book Day display.

Title: Can I interpret graphs?

This week we have been learning how to interpret different types of graphs such as pictograms and bar graphs.  

Stars and Hexagons – You have been given a sheet with one tally chart and 2 different pictograms. Read them carefully, particularly taking note of the pictograms and what the pictures represent! Answer the questions on the sheet and then glue it into your book.

Triangles, Squares, Pentagons and Diamonds – You have been given a sheet with 3 different bar graphs on. Read the graphs carefully and work out the answers to the questions. You may work on the sheet and glue it into your book.

All of you must make sure you have the short date and title in your homework book, underlined beautifully with a ruler.

English

Please complete the Writing Sentences sheet. Make sure your name and date is clearly added to the front. Remember to keep it neat. Please stick into your English homework book, but so we can still read the back!

 

Spellings to be tested

Please ensure you have learnt your next statutory word list. These will be handed out on Friday and tested next week.

 

Times Tables – Continue to practise your times tables ready for next week.

Reading – Remember to read at least 4 times a week and make a comment in your book.
