Y6 Residential Day One

After a 4 and a half hour coach journey, we arrived safely to a welcoming team and a yummy lunch of ham, egg and chips. The first activity involved getting to know the River Dart area and included getting very wet! Children had to navigate their way around a series of obstacle courses, some of which were water based.

Hot showers were enjoyed by all, before another delicious meal of pasta and ice-cream sundaes. Our evening activity was a challenging up-hill hike to a 1000 year old fort on Hembury Hill. It took us over two hours to get there and back – the children should sleep well! They enjoyed coming back through the woods in the dark.
Before they went to bed they enjoyed a bedtime drink under the stars. The lights are now out ready for another action packed day tomorrow!

Great photos and thank you very much for the update. Great to see they’re all having so much fun. Thank you all – staff and parents – for your patience and support as we got Tom on the bus yesterday (especially the amazing Mrs Ketley!!). I now know how Hannibal must have felt trying to get BA Baracus on to a plane! 🙂
