Maths

Title: Can I add using regrouping?

For your maths homework this week, we would like you to attempt some addition sums using the column method. Try your best to complete as many questions as you can within 30 minutes. Check your sheet carefully to see which questions we would like you to attempt.

Please remember to write a beautifully neat date and title in your maths homework book and underline them with a ruler.

You should complete your homework in your book, and please use a pencil.

Times Tables and Reading

Make sure you are also learning your times tables every day. We do Cracking Times Tables every Monday.

Remember we expect you to record at least 4 pieces of reading in your Home School Book. We will collect home school books in every Monday. Please make sure you get an adult to sign your book.

Please draw and describe the shirt, in at least two paragraphs, using detailed figurative language that we have been working on this term. (Use exciting vocabulary, similes, metaphors and onomatopoeia)

Year 5

This week we have been editing and publishing the Greek myths which we have written. For homework we want you to practise your editing skills – these are going to be a big part of our work in English this year.

You have a sheet with a piece of writing on. It is full of mistakes and errors. You need to read the piece of writing and the instructions in order to hunt down all the mistakes and correct them. The instructions tell you how many errors you need to find. Make the corrections neatly on the sheet and then stick it into your homework book.

To be handed in by Tuesday 22nd October.
