All pupils take national curriculum assessments at the end of KS2 (year 6). These assessments are through tests (SATs) and a teacher assessment (TA) in writing.
To reach the expected standard, a pupil must achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in reading and maths tests and an outcome of at least ‘reaching the expected standard’ in writing TA.
